We are so excited to celebrate with you at Honoliʻi Orchards, a family-owned cacao farm nestled in the lush greenery just north of Hilo. This beautiful venue sits on a bluff above the Honoliʻi stream, with stunning views of the ocean and waterfalls, tropical fruit trees of many varieties, and even a coffee orchard. It’s quiet, breezy, and a perfect place to gather — rain or shine.

The property belongs to our dear friends Patrick, Susan, Colin, and Violet. We’ve been lucky enough to spend time here since 2019, when Amanda first came to house sit for the family over the holidays. Since then, we’ve taken every chance we could to return, and are beyond grateful to the family for opening this incredible space to us for our special day. Colin and his partner, Wren, operate the cacao business, offering guided tours of the cacao groves with tastings of single-origin Hawaiian chocolate (see more below!). 

We kindly ask our guests to attend in summer formal wear. This is an outdoor venue — the ceremony will be covered but open-air, and we'll be celebrating afterward in the beautiful chocolate tasting room, under a large tent, and among the orchard paths. The landscape is rolling grassy hills, so please wear reliable footwear (stiletto heels will sink!). Assistance will be provided to escort those with limited mobility down the hill to the ceremony and back up for the reception. Bring a light layer in case of misty weather or cool breezes — Hilo can surprise you!

There are clean portable restrooms on site. The orchards are about 10 minutes north of downtown Hilo by car. There is no public transit to the venue and limited parking, so we recommend carpooling with others.
